Licensed Professional Counselor, Life Coach, Founder
“I’ve never met someone who believes in others so fiercely and holds out hope when all seems lost. You help me see who I truly am and make me want to live my best life.”
Those words from a friend helped inspire the name of my practice: Wild Hope Counseling & Wellness.
My vision is to provide a warm, welcoming space where you can show up just as you are — to be fully seen, deeply heard, and supported with fierce, unwavering hope. The stress you’re carrying, the pain you’re holding, the patterns that feel impossible to break — they don’t have to define you. You’re not stuck. Life doesn’t have to feel so hard. I believe in your capacity to heal, to grow, and to rediscover your strength, confidence, and joy.
Can you remember a time when you felt strong, confident, hopeful… even joyful? Maybe it’s a distant memory, or maybe you’ve never experienced it before. Either way, I’m here to walk alongside you, remove barriers, build you up, and help you navigate the path to healing and wholeness.
My approach
My counseling style is warm, relational, faith-integrated, and holistic. I believe true healing comes from honoring the mind, body, and soul. In our work together, I may incorporate spirituality, breathwork, physical movement, sleep support, and mindfulness practices to help you feel grounded and whole.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. You are beautifully complex, with your own unique story, challenges, and strengths. My promise is to offer you a deeply personal, compassionate, and customized approach to counseling — one grounded in curiosity, faith, science, and heart.
I’m here to listen. To remind you of who you are. And to help you reconnect with the wild, capable, resilient person within.
My background
I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2000 and am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing virtual therapy for individuals and couples.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of:
Supporting women in healing from trauma and reclaiming their strength
Helping parents reconnect with their teens
Guiding couples through brokenness toward restoration
Empowering clients to overcome depression and anxiety
Teaching practical tools for stress management and emotional resilience
My desire to help others started when I was a teenager, and it became a true calling during college when I saw firsthand how counseling could transform lives. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where I was inducted into the honors society Alpha Kappa Delta. I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Christian Counseling from Trinity International University, graduating Cum Laude. As a graduate assistant, I loved mentoring students, leading seminars, and engaging in research and feedback.
I began my career providing in-home therapy to children with developmental disorders and their families. That early work instilled in me a strong foundation in family systems therapy. I later worked at St. Mary’s Hospital’s Inpatient Mental Health Unit, counseling individuals navigating chronic mental illness and addiction. Today, I offer virtual therapy across Wisconsin, meeting clients where they are with compassion, flexibility, and depth.
I am also certified in Prepare and Enrich, a trusted tool for couples counseling that I use with both engaged and married couples.
My story
I was born and raised in Ozaukee County, where I met and married my high school sweetheart. Together we made a home in Washington County and were blessed with two beautiful daughters. My late husband faced a long and difficult medical journey, and I had the honor of walking beside him every step of the way. Becoming a young widow with small children profoundly shaped the way I hold space for others navigating grief, trauma, and life-altering transitions.
Today, I share life with my wonderful husband Ian, our two amazing daughters, and my faithful therapy sidekick, Holden the dog, who often curls up at my feet during sessions and occasionally makes an appearance.
When I’m not counseling, you’ll find me road-tripping with my family, capturing memories with my camera, writing encouraging words, hiking wooded trails, or relaxing with great music and my favorite people.
